ITaP Communications Group

ITaP's Communications Group offers consulting, planning and assistance for publicizing and marketing ITaP resources, services, projects and initiatives. We collaborate on and edit planned communications, whether internal to IT, aimed at the larger campus or, in some cases, for off campus.

Among other things we can:

  • Develop articles for use in Purdue Today and other campus outlets along with graphical materials such as banners, brochures, business cards, photos, postcards, posters and slides for both print and digital use. (Able to arrange printing in numerous formats.)
  • Place items in Purdue Today and other campus outlets, including a variety of campus unit newsletters and email lists, campus electronic displays and display windows, and ITaP, Purdue and campus unit social media feeds.
  • Coordinate ITaP informational tables at campus events such as Purdue’s for Me, STAR, Boiler Gold Rush and faculty and staff information fairs.
  • Consult on and edit website content and write and edit video scripts.
  • Review externally facing materials developed by ITaP units for compliance with Purdue's branding standards.
  • Review marketing materials developed by vendors and other external organizations that highlight ITaP’s use of products or partnerships with ITaP, to make sure they comply with Purdue requirements.

In addition, we can often help with ITaP-related external news releases to be distributed through Purdue Marketing & Media; collaboration on and placement assistance for ITaP-related articles and materials aimed at higher education and technology trade publications and websites as well as for higher education and technology conferences; and narratives for grant proposals and awards submissions.
