Review to look at possible replacements for survey-tool Qualtrics

ITaP is seeking faculty and staff interested in serving on a review team to investigate possible replacements for Qualtrics, the University’s campus wide survey tool.

Purdue’s current contract with Qualtrics, which includes use on the campuses of Purdue Northwest and Purdue Fort Wayne as well, is set to expire in July 2019. A new contract for Qualtrics is expected to come with a considerable price increase.

“The price increase is part of what’s driving this,” says Joe Conte, the manager of consulting and training for ITaP. “But the market for survey tools has grown and evolved since we first adopted Qualtrics, so this is also an opportunity to see what the options are, and if there’s a tool that can better fit the University’s needs.”

Conte said he would like Qualtrics users from across the University to serve on a team to review possible replacements. He would also like to hear from people who use other survey tools.

“If there’s a survey tool out there that you prefer over Qualtrics, we want to know why,” says Conte.
