ITaP is hosting a review of web-conferencing tools

ITaP is launching a review of web-conferencing tools and Purdue’s needs, and is seeking input from faculty, staff and students.

ITaP currently provides Purdue with access to the web-conferencing tool WebEx, which can be used for hosting meetings, virtual presentations and other forms of collaboration. Advances in web-conferencing technology, however, have resulted in a multitude of web-conferencing options in recent years, including some that are used by faculty, staff and students at Purdue instead of WebEx.

The goal of the review is to investigate the University’s needs as well as the different web-conferencing options that are available. ITaP is hoping to hear from people who currently use WebEx, as well as from those who use a different web-conferencing tool.

Listening sessions have been scheduled for:

Those unable to attend a listening session can submit feedback online by clicking here.

There are no plans to make any changes to WebEx during the 2018-19 academic year.
