Listening session seeks feedback about digital proctoring

Faculty and staff are invited to attend a listening session on Nov. 18 to help Purdue Online assess the University’s needs and wants in a digital proctoring service.

The listening session is part of a review of the University’s digital proctoring needs with the goal of identifying possible solutions that will allow both online and face-to-face courses to host online assessments. Currently, Purdue centrally supports two proctoring tools, Proctortrack and Respondus. The review team would like to receive feedback from users of those tools, as well as input from those looking to use a digital proctoring tool or service who aren’t using either of the two now.

The listening session is scheduled from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 18, in Grissom Hall, Room 102. Attendees will be asked to share what features they want in a digital proctoring tool, as well as their experience using various tools or services.

The listening session is only the first step in the digital proctoring tool review, and there are no plans to stop support of the currently available tools during the 2019-2020 academic year. Those unable to attend the listening session can send an email with feedback about digital proctoring tools to tlt@purdue.edu.
