Telecommunications Infrastructure

About our group:

Information Technology Infrastructure Services (ITIS) consists of a design and engineering team responsible for coordinating all telecommunications infrastructure for new construction and renovation projects on the West Lafayette campus.  The team responsibilities include:

Insuring telecommunications standards are met for all construction projects involving telecommunications (TIA/EIA-568C standards for commercial buildings)

Maintaining reliable and accurate records of the telecommunications infrastructure

Providing support for the (7) macro cellular sites on the West Lafayette Campus

Providing support for the I-Light fiber between West Lafayette and Indianapolis

Designing all outside plant copper and fiber installations

Providing project management for projects involving telecommunications

Collaborating with Physical Facilities to identify and prioritize telecommunications projects eligible for State R&R (Repair & Rehabilitation) funding
